Windshield Repair started repairing rock chips
in 1992. Our customers wanted their windshields
replaced but we did not offer this service. After
hearing so many complaints about faulty installations,
we could not endorse the quality of other companies'
workmanship.
In 2000, we formed
a spin-off company called Able Auto Glass
to better serve our existing customer base. This
company focused on the replacement of your windshield,
door glass, quarter glass, vent glass, and back
glass of the vehicle. In addition, we added side
view/interior mirror replacement and motor/regulator
replacement. Our parent company Argonauts Windshield
Repair still continues to provide the highest
quality rock chip repairs in Houston, Texas using
tinted resins manufactured by GlasWeld to closely
match the color of the glass.
Here at Able
Auto Glass, the owner not only operates the
business but also installs glass. No subcontractors
are ever used. All auto glass is replaced by a
nationally trained certified technician
(NGA) using a premium urethane manufactured
by Dow Chemical called “BetaSeal
One”. It has a one hour safe drive-away time.
The technician
skillfully and carefully cuts out the glass with
state-of-the-art removal tools (no short cuts
are ever taken). The wipers and cowl are removed
for better clearance, the pinch weld is fully
primed as a rust preventative measure and (2)
people set every windshield for better placement.
Since the work is performed at our shop, you
need not worry about inclement weather ruining
the job. Your vehicle is protected from the elements
and you actually have an appointment! We do not
operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. We
explain the process and keep you informed every
step of the way.
