Chevy Trailblazer Back Glass Replacement

A Chevrolet Trailblazer arrived at shop with a broken back window for a back window that was broken into. He was a repeat customer who had his windshield replace a few years ago here at our shop. When this glass is manufacture the attachments are glued onto the new window glass. They have to be placed exactly in the correct location on the window otherwise it will not fit. We found that at the current time of this posting American made glass is the best fit and the manufacture that was installed here in this slide show is Guardian. The window is a bit heavy and takes two people to complete this installation. This back glass is held in place by two pins that resemble nails and a clip on each side. The shocks hold the glass up when opened. Most back windows do not have the spoiler and break light attach to the glass instead they are typically clipped into the body of the vehicle. While I was installing one of these back windows a few years ago the C-Clip fell into the cargo area and took a bit of time to find. So now I try and painted the C-Clip just for better visibility in the event it decides to go flying out of my hands. It took about 4 total hours or so to complete this installation of the back glass. Thank you for viewing this slide show.
